COURSE OUTLINE
This course is designed to assist staff, particularly in education contexts, to develop the teamwork skills required to work more effectively and productively in their departments and projects. The course examines topics such as team development, team roles, group dynamics, and conflict management and considers the role of teamwork within all kinds of administrative structures. Participants also have the opportunity to share ideas and collaborate with fellow staff from around Europe whilst enjoying Irish culture in one of Ireland’s most vibrant cities.
COURSE GOALS
Given the New European Dimension of Education, the course aims to raise awareness among teachers and schools, to teach children and young people about European construction and identity. This course settles within a framework of global citizenship advancement, alongside values development that will lead to a better awareness of Europe’s richness and cultural diversity. The overall aim must be to strengthen the sense of European identity in young generations and teach them the advantages and challenges of European citizenship.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Explore how to develop team building skills in an education context.
- Gain practical ideas and tools which can assist participants to create and manage teams effectively
- Examine case studies and engage in interactive exercises to explore concepts such as team roles, building bridges and boundaries, tackling conflict etc.
- Share best practices with fellow staff
