Discover more about Ireland while improving your English language skills in Galway, situated on the Wild Atlantic Way. With this course, you can build your confidence in English while learning about Irish culture and society.

English Language & Irish Culture will help you boost your English reading, writing, and speaking skills while getting to know and experiencing a new culture. The course blends content-driven lessons to master communication skills with an in-depth examination of their country’s culture and traditions.

During the course, participants explore key aspects of life in Ireland through presentations, tasks, research, songs, and interaction with local people and the unique culture of the West of Ireland.

Learning Objectives

Learning outcomes:

  • Gain an understanding of Irish Culture, Traditions and Contemporary Life in Ireland. 

  • Enhance communication skills to interact effectively with English Speakers

  • Explore aspects of the culture that interest you.

  • Deepen your knowledge & understanding of this topic with the view to presenting to or teaching others. 

Daily Program

SUNDAY
Full-day excursion to Wild Atlantic Way destinations such as the Aran Islands, Connemara or the Cliffs of Moher 

Irish Culture Workshop + Guided historical walking tour of Galway 

Pronunication & speaking skills workshop + Pub social evening 

WEDNESDAY
Culture workshop eg. Learning English through music

Visit to a local heritage site 

Grammar skills workshop – eg. Phrasal verbs & idioms

The daily schedule/ program describes likely activities but may differ based on the trainer's discretion and objectives. Classes are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon, based on the provider's preference. If there's a particular topic you wish to cover,please mention it no later than 1 month in advance.
