Course Summary
The aim of this course is to develop teachers’ knowledge of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) showing how this method can be used to introduce new languages through specific course content. This practical course will be useful to any teacher who faces the challenge of teaching their subject in a language which is not their students’ mother tongue. The course will show how to plan and implement activities based on the key language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Participants will be introduced to a range of CLIL resources and aids, and will learn how to develop attractive material that can be adapted to their subject teaching. This course also offers an opportunity to learn about Irish culture in shared culture workshops which showcase the practice of content and language integrated learning for English language learners.
Course Goals
Compte tenu de la nouvelle dimension européenne de l'éducation, ce cours vise à sensibiliser les enseignants et les établissements scolaires, ainsi qu'à faire découvrir aux enfants et aux jeunes la construction et l'identité européennes. Il s'inscrit dans une démarche de promotion de la citoyenneté mondiale et de développement de valeurs favorisant une meilleure appréciation de la richesse et de la diversité culturelle de l'Europe. L'objectif global est de renforcer le sentiment d'appartenance à l'Europe chez les jeunes générations et de leur faire comprendre les avantages et les défis liés à la citoyenneté européenne.

The daily schedule/ program describes likely activities but may differ based on the trainer's discretion and objectives. Classes are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon, based on the provider's preference. If there's a particular topic you wish to cover,please mention it no later than 1 month in advance. Please note that the course may have participants from various school levels and English proficiency.
