Course Summary
The aim of this course is to develop teachers’ knowledge of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) showing how this method can be used to introduce new languages through specific course content. This practical course will be useful to any teacher who faces the challenge of teaching their subject in a language which is not their students’ mother tongue. The course will show how to plan and implement activities based on the key language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Participants will be introduced to a range of CLIL resources and aids, and will learn how to develop attractive material that can be adapted to their subject teaching. This course also offers an opportunity to learn about Irish culture in shared culture workshops which showcase the practice of content and language integrated learning for English language learners.
Course Goals
En el contexto de la nueva dimensión europea de la educación, el curso tiene como objetivo sensibilizar a docentes y centros educativos, así como enseñar a niños y jóvenes sobre la construcción y la identidad europeas. Esta iniciativa se enmarca en el fomento de la ciudadanía global y el desarrollo de valores que conduzcan a una mayor conciencia de la riqueza y la diversidad cultural de Europa. El propósito general es fortalecer el sentido de identidad europea entre las generaciones más jóvenes y darles a conocer las ventajas y los desafíos de la ciudadanía europea.

The daily schedule/ program describes likely activities but may differ based on the trainer's discretion and objectives. Classes are scheduled for either the morning or afternoon, based on the provider's preference. If there's a particular topic you wish to cover,please mention it no later than 1 month in advance. Please note that the course may have participants from various school levels and English proficiency.
